Electrical Engineer
at Dillon Consulting Limited in Windsor
Dillon is a well established, employee-owned professional consulting firm operating across Canada and internationally. We provide a wide range of consulting and design services related to the infrastructure, real estate, resource, industrial and government sectors in Canada and abroad. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Electrical Engineer in one of our Ontario offices.
Responsibilities:
• Management of a variety of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients across the company, with particular emphasis on the electrical component of such projects
• Leadership and technical guidance of a team of electrical professionals (including engineers and technologists)
• Leadership in providing quality client services, with particular emphasis on the renewable electrical energy market
• Contribution to technical and professional leadership within the firm
• Input to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
• Management of the development of client relationships and business development activities including proposal preparation (initiation and submission), reports and presentations
Qualifications:
• A degree in electrical engineering
• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months
• A minimum of 10 years’ of related professional experience
Experience:
• Demonstrated success and expertise in both project management and business development
• Demonstrated success leading teams of technical professionals on multi-disciplinary projects
• Comprehensive understanding of the electrical component of renewable energy-related projects
• Extensive experience in electrical power and distribution design, fault protection and protective relay design
• Proficiency providing technical leadership to a team of professionals
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
